Dear HelpOthers.org Community,
We've some exciting news and updates to share with all of you!
During the past four months, our behind-the-scenes volunteer team has been working hard to dramatically revamp the HelpOthers website and we're happy to report that the wait is over! Please visit: www.kindspring.org We're over-the-top thrilled to see this the little Smile Card experiment in 2003 bloom in something that feels like a kindness revolution. :)
As you will notice, we've got a new name. After much deliberation over the past year, we concluded that the name HelpOthers didn't fully describe the breadth and depth of our vibrant community. So went to the drawing board, polled lots of you (over 1100 shared opinions!), and landed with a new name -- KindSpring. It was a tough decision to find the right evolutionary replacement, but we're happy to have landed on something that an overwhelming majority of you are excited about.
KindSpring represents a stream of kindness that starts somewhere in our hearts and inevitably springs out into the world through our actions.
To kick it off, we've got a beautiful new website! Not only does it offer a more contemporary look and feel, it has significant usability improvements and lots of new functionality. And more is on its way -- like the 21-day Kindness Challenge that launches on 9/11.
Through all this, though, what doesn't change are our values. KindSpring continues to be commercial-free and 100% volunteer-run labor of love site, like all ServiceSpace projects.
So, thank you, for bringing us this far, and let's keep spreading the kindness revolution. Please take the new website for a spin (you can login with your existing HelpOthers nickname and password), and do let us know if you run into any technical glitches.
With gratitude for your committment to kindness,
Your Friends @ KindSpring.org
