I am on my high school's Improv team. Improv has always been something that I love to do, along with making films. A few days ago when I went to Improv practice I got a sense of why I love doing it. Its because I love to see people laugh and smile! After realizing this I wondered," What makes something so funny that people just have to burst out laughing?"
Well... after some research I think I've figured it out! When someone gets put into a new situation, or watches something that they have never seen before, they experience a sensation that is very awkward. To cover this awkwardness... they laugh! So things that may seem funny to one person may seem quite normal to another. This is cause one person may have been in that situation before while the other was just experiencing it for the first time.
Well, after learning all this I had a sudden drive to strike up some more comedy! So I got together with some of my friends and made a HiLaRiOuS Short Film! It was definitely a new experience, and 100% random, which made it even funnier!
We all had a great time and laughed a lot! And I'm sure we'll put smiles on the faces of those who watch it. So for all of you out there who are doing Improv or being funny and wondering, " why am I doing this?" Just remember, you'll be putting a smile on someone's face (as well as your own), and that I'm sure is reason enough! :)
